I've known of this vehicle for some time, as it was used by a radio marshal
on some of the events we attended in the 90's and through my own radio
marshalling, and also owning a blue Frontera, we got to know of each other. It
was not until a chance meeting at the 1998 Total Off Road Donnington 4x4 show that I was
offered first refusal on the Sport that was then up for sale. On the 19/04/2008,
I took ownership of L68AFH.
Originally, this vehicle was built to compete in winch challenges, and the
dents in the body work reflect this - suffice to say this is not a show and
shine vehicle - it is a work horse.
It is my intention to enhance on what is already a good base vehicle for
competitive events, but with by background in stage rallying, I have the idea to
bring this Frontera Sport up to the standard that will allow me to enter a Comp
Safari.
