In order to compete in motor sport speed
event, specifically a Comp Safari, there are a number of additions I
need to make to the Frontera, some of which are:
- Plumbed in fire kill system -
operable by both occupants and externally.
- Hand held fire extinguisher -
mounted in reach of both occupants.
- Engine kill switch - operable by
both occupants and externally.
- MSA approved fixed bucket type
seats
- MSA approved 6-point harnesses
- Additional positive method of
throttle closure
- Fit mud flaps to championship
requirement
- Bonnet pins (I might go for a
removable bonnet)
Then there will additional things to
buy/fit
- Intercom system
- Map light
- MSA approved Fire proof overalls
- MSA approved helmet (I think I go
for an open, rather than full face)
- Neck brace
- Relocate spare wheel to base of
rear floor
- Navigators foot rest
- Additional horn switch (for
navigators use)
- First aid kit
- Manual locking free wheeling hubs
The Sport already has the following
items fitted
- Terratrip 202 trip computer
- Twin electric air horns
